Former Miss Teen Oriana Ribeiro is set to represent Namibia at the upcoming Miss Teen International competition in India this Sunday.
The prestigious event is tailored for young women aged between 14 and 19.
In an interview with NBC this week, Ribeiro highlighted her comprehensive preparation regimen, which includes aspects such as beauty, mindset, speaking skills and runway techniques.
However, she emphasised there was more to her preparation than just these elements.
“I am thrilled to represent Namibia at Miss Teen International. This is my first time to compete outside Namibia, and I am very excited,” she said.
Ribeiro said winning the crown would be life-changing for her.
Moreover, she acknowledged the significant responsibility that comes with the title, stating her commitment to fulfilling it to the best of her ability.
Despite being a beauty pageant queen, she is the author of three books: Overcoming your mind, Embracing emotional intelligence, and Living with intention.
She said the books are not just words on a page but tools for transformation, guiding individuals towards a positive mindset and a healthy lifestyle.
“I have moved quite a lot in my life, and that inspired my love for travelling. It has become my main goal to travel around the world as much as I can,” she said.
The competition holds promise not only for Ribeiro but also for Namibia as the beauty queen prepares to showcase her talents and represent her country on an international stage.
