The socio-economic difficulties that our dear country, Namibia, is currently experiencing must be solved by all of us. Although it is simple to criticise our leaders, it is important to understand that they cannot change our country on their own. 

As Namibians, we must reject victimisation, and embrace a culture of cooperation and responsibility. Together, we can generate change, develop creative solutions, and create a better future for everybody. It’s time to stop pointing fingers, and start making positive changes. 

Not all facets of society fall under the purview of leaders. The course of a nation is shaped by social, cultural and economic elements. It goes beyond the purview of leadership to address problems like inequality, prejudice and social norms. 

We are failing as a country to comprehend the roles that the State plays. Collaboration becomes a crucial component for advancement while dealing with complex socio-economic difficulties. 

We can unleash the power of collective intelligence when we band together and share our resources, ideas and expertise. 

Working together makes it easier to comprehend the problems at hand, and promotes the many viewpoints that generate creative solutions. 

We can solve problems more successfully and efficiently by utilising the skills and abilities of people from various areas. 

Holding our leaders accountable is critical, but it is also critical to recognise the work they are making, despite the challenges they confront. Despite their tremendous efforts, our leaders cannot effect change on their own. While blaming others is a convenient escape, it prevents advancement and fosters a culture of complacency. 

As citizens, it is up to us to own the part that we play in determining Namibia’s destiny. Regardless of how tiny, each of us has the ability to change the world. We become active agents of change when we accept responsibility for our deeds, decisions and contributions. This entails participating actively in neighbourhood projects.
