Dear Editor,
One of the great liabilities of history is that many young people fail to remain awake. Today our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and face the challenge of change. – Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr
Education beats the beauty and the youth. Make a decision that will change tomorrow. Save time, keep track of your time. Improve yourself everyday introduce something new every day. Distinguish yourself in character and excellence.
Engage yourself in national issues: one of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.
Are we the youth afraid to stand up and speak truth to power? No, speak out, get out there and let the nation read and hear your writings. Stimulate intellectual discussions and social contemporary issues. Success is waiting for the man that makes a decision. Choose to be successful. Train your mind, challenge yourself for the future. There is no hunger for a man that trains his mind. Youth is not a time of life but a state of mind.
Invest in your future. The government must realise that it is important to induct the youth in democratic processes. The youth will ultimately become the stalwarts of politics and one day will hold the reins in their hands
Yes, this is a very sensitive time concerning the youth of Namibia. It becomes difficult for authority to distinguish between genuine campaigners and ‘goonda’ elements. But allow and line with considerable degree of consensus, that young, adult or old and established politicians should not be stopped from taking part in active politics until they do not take undue advantage of their percentage and position.
The youth inducted into politics have matured into great leaders. We are not only enthusiastic and energetic but are full of new ideas. As youth, we are able to instil freshness in the political affairs of respective regions and the nation.
I conclude by saying that today youth are highly intelligent and educated. We have a high level of awareness.
