At last… The regular business of parliament had to wait for a few minutes yesterday, as members in the National Assembly witnessed Chief Justice Peter Shivute swearing in Marina Kandumbu as member of the 5th Parliament. Kandumbu’s swearing-in was delayed for nearly a month following a corruption case last year that threatened her political career. She was escorted by Swapo Chief Whip Eveline !Nawases-Taeyele. A loud cheer echoed from the public gallery as members and friends welcomed her.
