 Kumbwa elected new APP president

RUNDU – The All People’s Party (APP) elected Ambrosius Kumbwa as its president for a five-year term during a three-day national congress that was held in Rundu over the weekend.

The national congress started on Friday, and concluded on Sunday.

He is deputised by Linus Mutjila as vice president, while Faustinus Wakudumo was elected national chairperson of the party, with Christiana Gowases as deputy chairperson. 

Marius Goraseb assumed the position of secretary general, with Anastasia Mbathera as vice secretary general.

The party also elected its central committee members.

In his acceptance speech, Kumbwa expressed gratitude for the continued support of party members, and their shared vision to bring about positive change. 

He called on the party to remain united and steadfast in upholding the values and principles that define the APP.

“Together, we can overcome any challenge – big or small. Let us not give up in the spirit of unity and progress,” he said.
