Junias Nghishoongele

Despite the disruption of Covid-19 in all works of life, persistence and fortitude were the elements employed to achieve the desired goal.

The journey toward the conferment of MBA was not an easy road, hence with a focused mind, I remain victorious. Being a public servant with a big load of duties and responsibilities, that was not the case to me. Leading, managing, controlling, monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning at Sakaria H. Nghikembua Primary School rural based school with no internet connection to search for information was not a barrier to attain my desired dream.

On top of the paid responsibilities, I have equal personal responsibilities such as part-time farming and attend to family and relatives’ responsibilities. They never made me lift my hands up until I touched the finishing line on 3 October 2023 at Safari Hotel when the University of Namibia chancellor Nangolo Mbumba capped me with Master of Business Administration MBA focusing on management strategy. What an achievement!

I have no excuse to failure with brain given. The world markets are evolving and there are dynamic and complex changes in the job market, are we ready for the 41R? How competitive are we as we enter the digital era?

These were some of the backing up questions to pursue the recently completed study. I do not want to be obsolete in the job market, I want to remain competitive, add value and relevant in the organisation I am serving as a head of the organisation.

One of the critical questions I am sitting with is that; is MBA enough? Let me see how I would provide the answer in one or two years to come from the publication of this article.

Despite all the blockages and barriers such economic barrier, pull back barriers (people), limited academic resources and limited internet connectivity, I would make it with God’s will and grace.

Success entirely depends on self-inner drive self-determination, self-understanding, mission, vision and will.
