On what level are you?

Home Archived On what level are you?

I HAD a very intellectual discussion this week that changed my perspective about all the things I thought I knew about life.

Mbuae, I now feel ashamed that I might have been acting on a low level of consciousness at times when I did some mampara things, but in retrospect I can’t blame myself for not knowing what I know now.

Do you know that we all operate at different levels of consciousness?

It might sound Greek to you, but simply put, every thing we do determines at what level in life we are. Skinderbekke (gossipers), the jealous, the angry, the ones who want to moer others all the time, people that are negative about everything, those that want to hang themselves to the nearest tree, those who think they are God’s gift to humanity, the gold digging kamborotos all have a place on Dr David Hawkins’ consciousness scale.

This dokotor did a study on our !nondos over a period of 20 years and developed a scale from 0-1000 that determines how destructive or productive you could be towards yourself and society.

Tant Mina, you understand, amae? I don’t want my favourite tannie to be left out of this discussion as many of our people are still stuck in the lowest negative concentrate levels. For the purpose of this discussion, I will concentrate on levels between 20 to 199 known to be the most destructive. This can perhaps help to explain why we have so many suicides, violence, murders, apathy and hopelessness.

Level 20 (Shame):

These are people who are so ashamed of themselves that they just want to vanish or become invisible to the world. I am sure many of you have met such people who you can know are prone to commit suicide – the ekke wollie fokkol type.

Level 50 (Apathy):

These people are stricken by poverty, despair and hopelessness and because of that, they lack the energy to lift themselves up. They would spend any money you give them on okaskala ko Tombo or sniff Pattex – the outere type.

Level 75 (Grief):

People at this level remain regretful and depressed all their lives, especially after losing a loved one or some material thing they feel can’t be replaced – the ‘Once upon a time’ – type.

Level 100 (Fear):

These are people who constantly fear death, the unknown, old-age and so on. The world to them is just a dangerous place full of skelms – the don’t trust anyone type.

Level 125 (Desire):

At this level, people have desire for money, power, fame, material possessions and would do anything to acquire those goods – the ncinas, xomchas, tsotsies type.

Level 150 (Anger):

At this level, people are irritable, explosive, quarrelsome – the ‘I will moer you’ type.

Level 160 (Skepticism):

These people are engulfed in negativities, which sometimes is disguised in animosity towards others and things – the naysayers who secretly hope ‘I hope he doesn’t succeed’.

Level 175 (Pride):

Heita daar! I am sure there are plenty of us on this level. Not that there is anything wrong with pride as it is generally encouraged, but pride is associated with defensiveness and vulnerability. The ego is incredibly inflated and can lead to arrogance and denial – the ‘I am all that’.

The other day I read this woman’s Facebook status where she was asking for redemption. “Please can somebody save me from this rage within me. I know it is wrong but I can’t control myself when somebody makes me angry. I inherently just like to fight.” There you have it my dear, Level 150, it is.

Just hope to at least reach Level 250, which is a state of neutrality. At this level, you become comfortable and emotionally undisturbed. You will also be nonjudgmental and would have no interest in conflict or competition.

If you feel you operate at any level below 200, perhaps it’s time to make a change by reading: http://peaceandloveism.com/wiki/index.php?title=Levels_of_Consciousnes
