Local amateur golfers lacked a cutting edge

WINDHOEK – Local amateur golfers failed to stamp their authority on the recently concluded All African Team Championships, at the Swazi Spa in Ezulwini, Swaziland.

The Namibian team led by skipper by Brandon Britten, Stefanus Bonifacius, McPaul Ndeilenga and Greame Fransman could just not get going and keep up with with 7-time champions South Africa who showed exceptional class at the biennial tourney.

Apart from hosts Swaziland, 10 other countries teed off at the prestigious continental event – Kenya, Zambia, Mozambique, Reunion, Namibia, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mauritius. Namibia finished a disappointing 9th overall. Swarts said that the team’s presence could not have been possible without the assistance of companies like Bidvest Steiner Namibia.
