WINDHOEK-Lucy Kautwima and Lucy Kangombe of the Lucy Squared Radio Programme, cooked lunch for children living in the Ombili surroundings at the Ombili Soup Kitchen on Saturday as part of Valentine’s Day celebrations.
Apart from the lunch, more than 150 children were also treated to different activities such as jumping castles. “We also shared stories with the kids, motivated them to stay in school and told them why it’s important to go to school,” says Kautwima who is known as Lucy K. She adds that they are extremely happy since it is very important to put a smile on someone’s face. “We had the volunteers from the soup kitchen helping and we were also fortunate enough to have our sponsors helping with the cooking and everything else that need to be done,” explains Lucy K.
