Twenty-two-year old Armado Karels reportedly committed suicide yesterday afternoon at Farm Scott Correctional Facility.
The police spokeswoman Chief Inspector Edna Nawa confirmed the incident occurred at Block C at the facility. The victim was found hanging from his tie.
Nawa said no suicide note was found and police investigations continue.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
The police in the Oshikoto Region are also investigating the death of a 28-year-old man who collapsed and died later.
The deceased was identified as Junias Nghiteekwa, who lived at Omakango village in the Onkumbala area.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon around 13h00.
According to the police the man collapsed at a water point while he was giving water to cattle he was herding and died three hours after he collapsed.
Chief Inspector Stephan Nuuyi said no foul play wa suspected and the next of kin have been informed.
