ONGWEDIVA– Mandy Job, from Erundu Senior Secondary School has been crowned as Miss High School North, while Martha Hangula from Etosha Senior Secondary School became  First Princess, and Twapewa Sheelongo from Ponhofi Senior Secondary School  Second Princess.

The event hosted by No Mercy Entertainment Last Friday at Bennies Entertainment Park, Ongwediva here has been  aimed at raise funds and to give high school learner  a chance in the modeling world as well as for the community to see the young ones showing off their talents, beauties and self-confidence which will be a delight and a step closer to development for them.  “We want these children to know what they mean to the nation, they are the future. Funds raised will be used to buy stationaries and pay school fees for the less fortunate kids,” says Sandro Iithana, the main organiser of the beauty pageant.

The event kicked off with a fun day on Friday morning from ten O’clock (10h00) together with the motivational speeches by different personalities. Various competitions were done and some of the learners won great prices. The event was well organised with some educational materials on sale,  definitely valuable to help learners to pass their final examinations.

Sally, Fishman, Uno boy, Jay-son, Omfally, Dirty fruitz, LHBT Revolution, AmaZonkies, Vission Boys, Gruvas, Young kassi, Priffix Gs, Maestro, Boet, Tom and Jerry are Namibian artists that thrilled the event, together with DJ Tymz, DJ Quality and DJ Sky on the mix. Miss High School North walked away with  a DStv  PVR decoder, driving classes, a voucher worth N$ 200 at Spur, Sun glasses worth N$ 2000 and a one-night  voucher with a partner at the Ongwediva Town lodge. The First Princess won a microwave, voucher worth N$ 200 at Spur, sun glasses worth N$ 1500 and learner driving classes. Second Princess awarded with a cell phone, voucher worth N$ 200 and sun glasses worth N$ 1000. All the three winners are qualified for Miss School Namibia taking part early next year! The winners also share cash prizes of 1800 sponsored by Ben Hauwanga.
