The lifeless body of a man, of an unknown age, was discovered in the bushes at Otjomuise residential area in Windhoek on Wednesday.
According to Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson, Inspector Raimbert Muronga, the body was discovered around 16h00.
“The unidentified male person, dark in complexion and age unknown, was wearing brown trousers, a sky blue shirt and navy blue shoes. The body was found in a decomposed state next to a thorn tree in a kneeling position, with the head facing down,” Muronga said.
according to Muronga, three empty packets of tablets, half a bottle of juice and green plastic rope were also found next to the deceased.
A cellphone and wallet were also found, but no identification documents.
“It is alleged that the deceased was discovered by a member of the public who was collecting wild berries. The body has been taken to the mortuary for an autopsy to be conducted,” Muronga added.
