Maranatha singers in concert in Khomasdal

Home Art Life Maranatha singers in concert in Khomasdal

WINDHOEK– The Maranatha Singers, freshly back from a highly successful concert tour through Europe, are ready to give the public what they love most, Oviritji, Namastap,  the OtjiVambo Taya Tanta, among others, and of course, a visual effect of cultural attire to let you realise how much you love Namibia.

The choir will be entertaining audiences with songs from Marcellinus Swartbooi, Engelhardt ǂUnaeb, Roger Nautoro and others. It is a proudly Namibian programme comprising all cultures and languages, with some of the compositions to be heard for the first time. The programme caters for all tastes, including the Afrikaans langarm dance to the tune of “Jaloersbokkie”,  a top favourite of the crowds in Germany.

This extraordinary programme will be performed for the last time in Windhoek, where after the choir will start to prepare for their Christmas programme. The concert is scheduled for Sunday in the University of Namibia (Unam) Hall, Khomasdal Campus, at 17h00 (5 pm). Tickets are available from choir members, but also at the door at N$40 for adults and N$20 for students and children. Students must show proof of student registration. CDs and DVDs will be available for sale. For more information you may contact Joe Besser or Natalia Halweendo at 081 312 2804 and 081 148 1494 respectively.
