After spending eight years in Standard Bank’s marketing department, Thaddius Maswahu has resigned from the financial institution with effect from April 30.
As the spokesperson of Standard Bank Namibia, Maswahu has been the face and voice of the bank. He executed his role in marketing the position of the bank in the public space, internally and externally with the relevant stakeholders.
Speaking at his farewell function this week, Standard Bank Namibia’s Chief Executive, Vetumbuavi Mungunda, expressed his gratitude to Maswahu for his years of service at the bank.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Thaddius for his immense contribution to the bank over the past eight years. You played a very key role in cementing the good relations with our valued stakeholders, while at the same time articulating the bank’s vision and mission in the public sphere. You will be sorely missed Thaddius,” said Mungunda.
On his part, Maswahu thanked all the executive members and staff of the bank for their support and positive impact they made in his career.
“I am wholly indebted to Standard Bank Namibia as I had the best memories with all my exco colleagues. Mr Mungunda, thank you for your support to me as a boss and I also would like to thank our predecessor Mr Mpumzi Pupuma in absentia for believing in my capabilities and for appointing me in this job. In short, Standard Bank will always remain very dear to my heart,” said Maswahu.
Maswahu joined Standard Bank on March 01, 2007 as manager of marketing. He was promoted to head of marketing in July 2012. According to sources at the bank, Maswahu will be venturing into business.
