Windhoek

Bank Windhoek Holdings (BWH) says consistent growth has caused it to separate the current combined role held by Christo de Vries as managing director of both BWH and Bank Windhoek Limited into two positions.

As part of an orderly transition, De Vries proposed to hand the responsibilities of managing director of BWH to his successor at an early stage to allow him to focus on the leadership transition at Bank Windhoek.
De Vries led the group through the repositioning and the listing on the Namibia Stock Exchange, delivering excellent results for BWH during his tenure.

The BWH Board of Directors therefore appointed Thinus Prinsloo as the managing director of BWH with effect from January 1, 2016. Prinsloo served as executive director of Capricorn Investment Holdings Limited since 2011 and as executive director of BWH since 2013.

“On behalf of the board of directors, management and staff of the BWH group, I would like to congratulate Mr Prinsloo on his appointment and wish him a successful career as the managing director of BWH. The leadership changes in the group are designed to ensure stability and continuity to the benefit of all the stakeholders,” said Koos Brandt, chairman of the group.
