WINDHOEK-Mineral and Tanga are new kids on the block. Their recently released debut album titled Pamwe Inoshuuda, meaning perhaps you did not hear, proves it all.
The 13-track album is multi- genre mix of Kwaito, Afro Pop and Gospel. Hit songs from the album such as Ituyeni Koskola, Epulo, HIV/AIDS, Potsa Nawa, and Vovo are worth listening to. The album features Tosh and Dallas on the songs Anna Marry and Pamwe Inoshuuda. The album is currently doing well and enjoying massive plays in jukeboxes and airplays on local radio stations.
The duo’s real names Shipanga Jason (Mineral) and Haipinge Naftal (Tanga) grew up in Grootfontein where they are currently based and have been making quality music for the past few years. Sharing the passion of music, Mineral says the love of music brought them together and they started working together because two hands do better than one. “I am proud with the way our local music industry is growing. It is giving us the platform to push our careers further to the next level. We are trying hard and we are proud with the response from our fans all over Namibia,” says Mineral.
Tanga concludes saying local musician should work together and lift each other to different stages because together they can succeed. Discrimination and other sort of beefing will break down the Namibian music industry.
