Lucia Witbooi was born on March 21, 1961.

Legislative Profile
She has been a Member of Parliament since 2010. Currently, she is the Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Information and Communications Technology, a Member of the Parliamentary Standing committees on Human Resources, Social and Community Development; Foreign Affairs, Defence, Safety and Security; and Gender and Family Affairs since 2010.
She is also a member and deputy chairperson of CPA – Namibian Branch since 2010 and deputy chairperson of CWP – Africa Region since 2013.

Education
She holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Port Elizabeth, a Diploma in Education from the Azaliah College, Further and Higher Education and a Higher Primary Education Certificate from the University of Namibia (Unam) and a Grade 12 Certificate from the Suiderling Senior Secondary School.

Career
She was a teacher for 27 Years, former Head of Department at the Dr WM Jod Primary School, a former Gibeon Schools cluster convener for counselling and a former AME church-WMS Executive board member.
