WINDHOEK– The Muafangejo’s Legacy exhibition currently running at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) proves that the late John Muafangejo remains an inspiration to many artists and he really had a lot influence on the artwork being displayed at the Gallery.

The artworks do not only reflect modern art but more like a new generation looking back in history and understanding its impact. Each artwork is like an extension of Muafangejo’s work but the same time it shows that the artists extended their knowledge around what makes something art, and the unexpected ways artworks can be thought up. The collection being presented shows the expression of these artists’ views, and tell a story through their paintings and artwork which in itself highlights creativity. The exhibition does not only present creative expression but instead introduces you to new talent with remarkable range of brightly coloured portraits, and with a strong visual language.

The students and teacher of the John Muafangejo Art Centre (JMAC) whose work are being displayed really proved that  they have learned, experienced and expended art as they perfectly portrays their beliefs, society and personal feelings about life in the work. The exhibition run until January 17 2014 and entrance is free.
