Between 1 and 30 April, the Namibian Police Force seized various types of drug substances with a total street value of N$1.7 million, and arrested suspects in connection with the crimes.
In a statement issued yesterday, NamPol indicated they arrested 150 suspects in connection with drug-related charges, spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi revealed.
These include 140 Namibians, six Angolan nationals, as well as Congolese, Zimbabwean, Ugandan and Zambian nationals.
The types of drug substances include cannabis, weighing 166.97 kg, valued at N$1.6 million, 293 mandrax tablets worth N$35 160, 147 units of crack cocaine worth N$14 700 and 39 grammes of cocaine powder, valued at N$19 500.
