The police at Outapi are investigating a case of armed robbery, following an incident on Thursday night in which a gang of robbers entered a house, held a domestic workers at gunpoint, assaulted the victim and stole N$197 602.
During the alleged armed robbery that took place at 20h27 on Thursday the gang also managed to steal a rifle and a pistol. The suspects have not been caught yet, although an amount of N$12 686 was recovered and police investigation continues, said Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi of the Namibian police in Windhoek.
At Groot Aub a case of rape is being investigated following an incident on Saturday between 15h00 and 16h00 when a man allegedly forced himself on a 22-year-old woman and had sexual intercourse with her without her consent. “The suspect is known, however not yet arrested. Police investigation continues,” Shikwambi stated briefly.
At Katima Mulilo a 16-year-old boy was caught and killed by a crocodile while he was fetching water along the Zambezi River. The incident occurred on Friday.”The body has not yet been recovered. Police search and investigations continue,”the chief inspector said.
