Members of the Windhoek City Police yesterday arrested a woman who was selling trinkets in front of Shoprite in Independence Avenue for allegedly not having a permit. Members of the City Police did not take kindly to this reporter taking pictures of the scene and only after they were shown the press card did they relent. They were however very reluctant to divulge why they were arresting the woman. They also prevented the accused from speaking to a New Era journalist and were not willing to give their names either.
