WINDHOEK – Namibian referees and match officials will take charge of the 2014 CAF African Champions League second qualifying round match in Namboole, Uganda when Kampala City Council FC host Zambia’s Nkana FC tomorrow.

Namibian referee Reinhold Shikongo on Wednesday led out a group of four match officials to Kampala, to officiate the second leg match between KCC FC and Nkana FC following the teams 2-2 draw in Zambia last week. Assistants Benedictus Nashenda and Isaskar Boois will run the lines, while referee Helmut Andreas will be the fourth official at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium in Namboole. KCC FC needs to avoid defeat to reach the next stage. The winner will take on either Angola’s Kabuscorp or Egypt’s Zamalek in the next round.

Meanwhile, Namibia Football  Association (NFA) president John Muinjo will be arriving this morning from Johannesburg where he officiated in the international friendly match between  2010 Fifa World Cup hosts South Africa and 2014 Fifa World Cup hosts Brazil at the FNB Stadium in Soweto on Wednesday night.  Brazil won the encounter 5-0 with goals from Oscar, Fernadinho and a hat trick from superstar Neymar.
