Namibia to face Zimbabwe, UAE in tri-series

The T20 International Capricorn Eagles Tri-Series is set to take place from 6-14 September at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek.

This exciting tri-series will feature the Namibia national women’s cricket team, the Capricorn Eagles, competing against Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a round-robin format. 

The team that tops the table at the end of the series will be crowned the winner.

The  Capricorn Eagles Tri-Series represents Cricket Namibia’s (CN) ongoing commitment to bringing high-quality, competitive cricket to Namibian soil. 

Hosting this tournament in Windhoek underscores the dedication to elevate the profile of women’s cricket in the country, and providing the national team with valuable international exposure.

CN, in a press release shared yesterday, said they are proud to host such a prestigious event at home, allowing fans to witness top-tier women’s cricket. 

“The Capricorn Eagles are ready to take on the challenge, and we are excited to see how they perform against Zimbabwe and the UAE,” the statement read.

The fixtures are as follows, with all matches scheduled to start at 14h00:

6 September: Capricorn Eagles vs UAE 

7 September: UAE vs Zimbabwe 

8 September: Capricorn Eagles vs Zimbabwe 

9 September: UAE vs Capricorn Eagles 

10 September: Zimbabwe vs UAE

11 September: Zimbabwe vs Capricorn Eagles

12 September: Capricorn Eagles vs UAE

13 September: UAE vs Zimbabwe

14 September Capricorn Eagles vs Zimbabwe
