The races will start at 07h30, with the first race being that of 10 km elite runners. The second race, which is the 5 km and 10 km fun run/walk, will start at 08h30.

Prize money will be given to the top runners in the following classifications: 10 km Elite men and women, elite U/18 men and women, wheelchair category, visually impaired category, school runners category, and running club or federation category.

All category races will start and finish at Zoo Park. The route will head south to Ausspannplatz and around Snyman Circle before the runners head back up to Independence Avenue, passing Zoo Park, and continue further north.

The turnaround for the 5 km race is indicated by a turnaround sign close to the Engen service station.

The 10 km runners will continue to the Simon De Witt Bridge, go around the fire department circle, and turn around for the home stretch back to Zoo Park.

Registration and race number collection will take place on Saturday at the Nedbank Campus at the corner of Fidel Castro and Rev Michael Scott Streets from 10h00 to 15h00. All runners who have entered the race must collect their numbers to participate on Sunday.

Nedbank Namibia spokesperson Selma Kaulinge said the bank continues to sponsor this running event as part of its commitment to promoting health and wellness.

“Events which promote an active lifestyle like the dash also align with Nedbank’s values of encouraging a healthy,  balanced lifestyle, which in turn supports mental and physical well-being.

“Additionally, it provides a platform for community engagement, allowing us to connect with people in meaningful ways, and demonstrates the bank’s support for sustainable living.”
