The Nehale Senior Secondary School in the Onayena Constituency in the Oshikoto region is hosting its Candidates Award Ceremony (CAC) to award its 55 learners who passed with an A symbol in the Mathematics in the Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) examinations last year.

According to last year’s Mathematics’ teacher, Simon Albin, the awards will take place this Friday at the school hall from eight O’clock (8H00) in the morning. “Nehale is one of the best JSC performing schools in the Oshikoto region. The school obtained a hundred percent pass arte in the Grade 10 JSC national examinations last year of which 87 learners passed with 25 points. Among the top subjects in terms of performance is Mathematics which became the first subject ever in the history the school in which 55 learners passed with A symbols in Mathematics, 15 got B symbols and 17 learners got the lowest symbol being a D,” says Albin.

“We are very proud of our learners for working very smart in Mathematics and for obtaining more than sixty percentages, (A symbol) pass rate in JSC Mathematics,” he says. However, Albin has volunteered to awards all learners who got A symbols in Mathematics. He says each learner will receive a gold medal, certificate of merit and a writing pen. “We do believe that such magnificent performance needs recognition, especially both for the teachers and learners. This ceremony is one of the good opportunities to inspire and motivate our learners to value their commitments towards their school works,” says Albin, adding that they acknowledge that a good teaching philosophy of a teacher would always yield such good subject results.
