Nel’s Babies and Kiddies up and running

Beatha Shitemba recently threw open the doors of her shop, Nel’s Babies & Kiddies, after operating online since 2017.

The shop is located on the ground floor of the Auas Valley Shopping Mall in Windhoek, and it is loaded with lots of baby products that include baby clothes, feeding cups, plates and spoons, teethers, nursing cushions, baby petroleum jelly, baby swings, cots, bedsheets, aprons, calendars, dummy holders and much more.

“It made sense to have a physical location to service our clients, as having a shop would allow customers to have a shopping experience, and this includes being able to touch and feel the quality of the products being sold in the shop,” the shop owner told VIBEZ!

“It also allows the business to engage with the customers and determine their needs.”

Shitemba was quoted on her Facebook page as saying, when she gave birth to her son, it made her realise how exciting, joyful and beautiful it is to be a parent regardless of the challenges faced, so she started Nel’s Babies & Kiddies to excitedly share in other parents’ journey.

What makes this shop truly Namibian is that it’s 100% owned by a Namibian mother, plus the products stocked are designed and made in Namibia.

“Apart from Nel’s Babies & Kiddies own products, we take in products from other local manufacturers to support locals,” said Shitemba.

She added that during her business journey, she experienced challenges in finding shelve space for her products; hence, she would like to give other entrepreneurs an opportunity by selling their products in her shop.

Shitemba is happy the shop has been getting clients on daily basis, and she aims to continue providing superior service, and affordable and quality products for years to come.
