EENHANA – Nelson-Mandela Shifukwa (18) and Julia Nghifikwa (17) both Grade 12 learners at the Haimbili Haufiku Senior Secondary School have been crowned Mr and Miss Valentine Eenhana 2014 at a ceremony held at the school here last Saturday.
Both are determined to conquer the world in education and modeling. Nghifikwa explains that she is more than happy to be crowned Miss Valentine Eenhana 2014. “My beauty has been recognised and l am extremely happy and also determined to win the overall Miss Eenhana at this year’s Eenhana Trade Expo and Exhibition. In this case, l would like to improve my self esteem and confidence when l walk in front of a huge crowd. I always wanted to be a model since my childhood and hope if all goes well my dream will come true. Apart from that, l would like to study Accounting after completing my Grade 12.”
Nghifikwa likes reading fiction novels, newspapers and takes dancing, travelling and socialising. Apart from that she advises other Namibian youths to refrain from teenager sex and drug and alcohol abuse. Shifukwa was also in an ecstatic mood as he was crowned Mr Valentine Eenhana 2014. He says as a young Namibian, he wants to study Electrical Engineering with a South African university. Equally, he advises other Namibian youths, especially male youths, to study harder for their future. “As l have been crowned the Mr Valentine Eenhana 2014, l would like to advise my other young fellows to keep safe in what they are doing. They should be able to do the best in whatever they do and should remember that education comes first and not take school as a love nest,” he says. Upcoming musicians and recording kwaito artists such as Nestor Fly-beck entertained show goers at the event.
