Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) on Friday opened a new Express outlet at Maerua Park, bringing the total number of company-owned shops around the country to 14.

General manager commercial, Christian Faure said the new shop will offer a full range of services to its clients such as handsets, Tango cards, 3-G applications and many more.

“Though we have another full-range retail shop at the upper level the downstairs shop is where the foot traffic is, and we just can’t ignore it.”
Faure said MTC is rolling out new outlets in the regions with Tsumeb as its latest addition and Keetmanshoop to follow.

Also hitting the market is the introduction of the N$5 Tango voucher. Unlike other recharge vouchers the N$5 cards do not carry free SMSs, but are more convenient as cash is most of the time not at hand.

Namibian artists handcrafted the Maerua Mall shop, which is customised with Namibian products and took three weeks to complete. It is stocked with all the latest gadgets.
