SKW and Grootfontein on winning streak
In last weekend’s National Volleyball League, both SKW and Northern Namibia VC, commonly known as Grootfontein VC, managed to win all their matches.
SKW’s men and ladies teams won all their matches, surrendering a set in between when the men’s side played against Otter Volleyball Club. Both men and ladies stepped up a gear in their next matches and beat Eleven Warriors in straight sets.
Eleven Warriors, the Grootfontein based NDF team, also lost their local derby against Grootfontein VC. The Warriors experienced a disappointing trip to Windhoek after the men’s and ladies each could only win one out of five matches.
No league matches are scheduled for this coming weekend, with most of the country’s leading players participating in the popular Beach Volleyball Tournament at the DTS Beach Arena.
