“Rooted in Growth for Sustainability” underscores Old Mutual’s commitment to fostering meaningful, sustainable entrepreneurship rooted in community while empowering individuals to take ownership of their growth and social impact. This theme underscores the Old Mutual Foundation’s fourth and final leg of its flagship entrepreneurship initiative, the Old Mutual Sustainable, Economic and Empowerment Drive (OM SEED).
OM SEED 4.0 marks the culmination of a nationwide journey that began in 2022, having empowered over 100 entrepreneurs across various regions with seed funding, mentorship, and business development support. This year, the initiative will focus on the final four regions that comprise Omaheke, Otjozondjupa, Omusati and Kunene.
“Through OM SEED, we are not only supporting local entrepreneurs with funding but creating ecosystems of accountability, resilience, and purpose. This final edition allows us to cement the legacy of what OM SEED has meant for Namibian entrepreneurs, a platform to rise, to grow, and to truly own their impact,” said Patricia Olivier, chairperson of the old mutual foundation.
Entrepreneurs in these regions should deliver applications by Monday, 30 June 2025. Application forms can be downloaded by scanning the official OM SEED QR code or collected and submitted at designated locations in the respective tows.
QR codes will also be available on Old Mutual’s social media platforms and at local municipality offices, regional councils, and Old Mutual branches.
Each region will see three winners walk away with seed funding of N$50 000 (1st place), N$30 000 (2nd place), and N$20 000 (3rd place) respectively, along with financial and business skills training, mentorship, and post-programme incubation support.
