The Old Mutual Foundation has donated N$30 000 to the Rehoboth Town Council for refuse removal.

Old Mutual Chief Executive Officer, Andrew le Roux, said his organisation remains committed to making a positive difference in Namibian communities.

“Old Mutual recognises that responsible behaviour is our calling card, creating opportunities to generate greater value for our shareholders in the long-term, while at the same time fostering sustainable development in our country,” Le Roux said.

He said the strategy for 2007 builds on the solid foundations established in previous years while they will continue to focus on the flagship themes as well as the proactive identification of new initiatives within the focus areas of education, health and welfare, community development and staff community build-up.

“However, the need to care for our fragile environment becomes more necessary with every passing day. Thus the opportunity to enhance the lives of ordinary Namibians, especially those outside of our normal business circles, is an exciting privilege that we at Old Mutual embrace with great passion and enthusiasm,” he said.

He said in partnering with the Rehoboth Town Council, Old Mutual Foundation was furthering the achievement of some of its set objectives for Vision 2030.
