‘Ostory yoye’ remix out

‘Ostory yoye’ remix out

Xtrazz, in collaboration with Sunny Boy, Exit and Bok-D, released a
remix for a song called ‘Ostory yoye’, loosely translated as ‘your story.’ The song
talks about choices people make in their
lives.

Xtrazz is a Namibian multi-cultural, Afrobeat, Afropop, house, kwait, and
dancehall music group. The trio consists of Abel Liswani Nfwile ‘Cyrus’, Herold
Mbajanda Hiiko ‘Bux’, and Padja-Ongudi Ndilula ‘Simzza’.

The group of singers, songwriters, lyricists and dancers hails from Omaruru.

Xtrazz has been on the music scene since 2010, but started performing at school, with inspiration drawn from musicians such as Jackson Kaujeua, Awilo Longomba, Mandoza and Lucky Dube.

In an interview with VIBEZ!, Hiiko said they wanted to add some new taste to the remix, so Exit and Sunny Boy were the right ones for the remix.

“People have been dancing to our music
and we thought of blessing them with a remix to the same song. We have been getting positive vibes and feedback,” he said.

The remix is available on all platforms.

Xtrazz’s solid bond was formed during childhood. Despite their different cultural backgrounds Oshiwambo, Otjiherero and Silozi, they have produced music
that appeals to a diverse audience.

“In the song, we tried so hard to emphasise on gang and street life, and how it has a negative impact on us as people,” he said.

The songs were produced by Andrew
On the Beat, and the videos were shot by videographer Olavi Nyau at Omaruru.
