Parker claims 2026 Namibian Open title 

Windhoek Golf Club hosted a successful 2026 Namibian Open over the weekend, with Todd Parker emerging as the overall best gross winner after two days of competitive golf action. 

The tournament, held on 16 and 17 May, attracted 94 players competing across the A, B, C and Ladies divisions at the Windhoek course. The A and B divisions contested 54 holes over two days, while the C and Stableford divisions played 36 holes. 

Parker produced a consistent performance with rounds of 77, 69 and 70 for a total of 216 to secure the overall best gross title ahead of Edwin Kutara, who finished runner-up on 225. 

In the overall best nett category, Gelson Gideon walked away with top honours after carding a total of 217, while Justus Amutenya settled for runner-up position on 219. 

Wilna Bredenhann dominated the ladies’ overall best gross division with a score of 174, while Sesilia Nkosi finished second on 182. Natasja Louw claimed the ladies’ overall best nett title with a score of 143, followed by Alvine Samuel on 148. 

Jackson Kawaya won the A Division best gross title with 229, while Christopher Durant secured the best nett award on 220. In the B Division, Mario Polster claimed the best gross accolade, and Gert Liebenberg won the best nett category. John Chadyiwa topped the C Division gross standings, while Christo Liebenberg claimed the best nett honours. 

The Stableford division was won by Borris Erasmus with 74 points, ahead of Ester Emvula on 69 points. 

A special moment during the competition came on hole 13, where Alfred Ndyenge recorded a hole-in-one. 

Speaking after the tournament, NAGU president Toady Gurirab thanked the Namibia National Olympic Committee, Windhoek Golf Club management, sponsors, and staff members for ensuring the event’s success.
