SWAKOPMUND – Golfers from the coast dominated the prize-giving ceremony at the Bank Windhoek Namibia Open Golf tournament, held at the Rossmund Golf Course outside Swakopmund, last weekend.
It was however the youthful Paulus Ndeilenga who played three consistent rounds to be crowned the overall Namibian Open Champion for 2014.
Meanwhile, the Namibia Amateur Golf Union (NAGU) held its annual general meeting (AGM) that saw Marco Swarts elected new president of the union to be deputized by Hafeni Nghinaamwami. Hugh Mortimer was elected treasurer with Bill Birch as secretary. Additional members from the regions will be confirmed at a later stage.
