The UNAM archives have a photo collection which was donated to the tertiary institution by the United Nations Institute for Namibia after its closure at the attainment of independence in1990. “Many of the photos bear no – or very scanty – descriptions. The UNAM archives are trying to find more detailed information about the events and people depicted in the photographs,” said UNAM’s newly appointed public relations officer, Utaara Hoveka, in a press statement. He requested any former students of the UNIN, relatives or friends, who may be able to identify persons appearing on the photographs to contact the UNAM archives at (061) 20-6311.
