There is a saying that goes along the lines of ‘you can bring a horse to the river, but you can’t force it drink the water’. From what we have seen and experienced over the last few years, that rings true now more than ever. We have everything we need and probably more, but have mostly been unable to make the most of it.
As humans, especially the youth we will always want more and want to do better, which is commendable. In our pursuits for our aspirations, there are people who always back us and help us along the way, but they can only do so much for us, it will always be up to us to do the most difficult and most crucial work to get where we want to be.
A helping hand can only do so much and can only be around for so long, it is more of a privilege than a necessity or right, something to be grateful and not to cry for, believe me, there is always someone out there who doesn’t have it as good as you do.
Nobody knows for certain what is in a person’s mind or heart, nobody can truly understand why or what it is that you truly want, only you know that hence why it will always be up to you to execute whatever needs to be executed.
Over the years, we have seen people find themselves in sticky situations, situations that could have been avoided, had they owned up and do what they were supposed to do instead of leaving it to someone else.
It was up to them to do what had to be done, but they gave that responsibility to someone else. Yet if things go wrong in these cases, they usually do, they will always be the ones to pay the price no matter what.
We just came from a very rough and chaotic 2020, that needed us to work together harder than usual to overcome the obstacles we faced, as we head into 2021 it will be of everyone’s advantage if we all collaborated and helped each other where possible and necessary, but more importantly, it will be to your advantage if you didn’t leave anything to chance and do what you have to do to get to where you want
to be. I hope you have a prosperous and safe year going forward.
