WINDHOEK – The Namibian Police at Otavi have requested members of the public to help them trace the whereabouts of a 24-year-old woman whom they want to question on an incident related to N$46 000 worth of stock and hard cash.

Meste Moongo is on the police wanted list after a case of alleged theft was opened against her by her employer who complains she failed to return to his shop after he gave her N$29 000 to go and deposit in his bank account.

Moongo who hails from Oniipa in Oshikoto region was the sole employee at her employer’s shop in Otavi. According to the police, Moongo on August 6, was sent to the bank to deposit N$29 000. She allegedly failed to deposit the money and instead closed the shop and disappeared, living the shop’s keys in her room.

When the owner of the shop opened the shop, it was discovered that stock valued at N$18 000 had gone missing.

Moongo was last seen boarding a white Toyota Pick-up at Otavi Four Ways Service Station heading to Windhoek. Moongo is said to be dark in complexion and she is short in height.

The police are requesting that Moongo report herself to the nearest police station or contact Detective Sergeant Neumbo at Otavi Police Station at 067234006 or on 0813776440.
