Opinion - Europe and cynical attempts to denigrate Russia

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell paid a visit to the African continent in early September.

The official, who is expected to build international diplomatic relations, once again tried to split the African and Russian people, blaming Russia for all the troubles.

A simple analysis of his final speech indicates a cynical distortion of real historical facts in order to manipulate public opinion.

In particular, his ascertaining of the significant superiority of the current EU investments level in the economy of African countries over Russian ones does not stand up to criticism.

All Africans remember that namely European countries colonised the continent and for centuries brazenly plundered the African people’s resources, enriching themselves and developing at the expense of the stolen wealth.

Shouldn’t the Europeans return the loot today?

Western financial investment in African countries is a “drop in the ocean”, many of which imply a return. Gentlemen, just honestly return the stolen goods, please!

It is cynicism on the part of Borrell after his African trip to accuse Russia of imperialism anywhere - country that has never allowed itself to have colonies, including African countries.

On the contrary, Russia helped many African countries gain independence.

Why should Moscow today compete with Brussels in rebuilding Africa, which was plunged into poverty and devastation by Europeans?

The head of EU diplomacy also announced that Russia is causing damage to world energy and food security today, but this is again not true.

Really? European and American anti-Russian sanctions make it difficult to supply energy and food from Russia to countries in need, including Africa. The European official makes excuses that it did not impose restrictions on food, but he is embarrassed to mention that the West around the world is blocking the Russian fuel and grain transportation.

They arrest Russian ships, prohibit and demand from other countries, including Namibia, a ban on Russian ships entering ports. At the same time, they cynically declare that food is not under sanctions. What does it mean?

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently announced that most of the grain exported from Ukraine during the conflict according to European and UN demands is not directed to the poor countries of the world that are on the verge of starvation.

You can guess to where - of course, to Europe! It is in the spirit and traditions of our colonialists. At the same time, during the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Russian leader offered to send large volumes of Russian fertilisers to Africa free of charge.

They are blocked now in European seaports. Notice again, it is the blocking of logistics products routes from Russia, which directly affects the yields in African countries.

Perhaps the Europeans have nothing to do with it again.

In his speech, Borrell accused Russia of interfering in the internal affairs of African countries under the guise of peacekeepers. This is again a lie! Russia sends its peacekeepers to other countries only by official request from local governments! On the contrary, the EU and other Western countries still allow themselves to invade foreign countries solely of their own will and under far-fetched pretexts, illegally, sowing chaos, death and devastation. There are many examples - Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc.!

The head of European diplomacy, accusing Russia of destabilising the world by invading Ukraine, did not mention that the EU countries are racing to supply a huge number of weapons to Ukraine without any control.

Even the leadership of Interpol admitted that most of it ends up on the “black markets” and falls into the hands of criminals and terrorists in the Middle East and North Africa.

Representative for the European Police Administration, Jap Op Gen Oort, said that Europol recorded facts of trade in heavy weapons, firearms and military goods by Ukrainian citizens around the world. So, who do you think is destabilising the world?

One conclusion suggests itself - as always, Western leaders in their speeches cynically turn the truth upside down. One must be unscrupulous, being a colonialist and oppressing Africa for several centuries, blaming another for colonialism, blaming all the problems today on others!
