Pick n Pay Namibia has announced a partnership with Bonlife Assurance to introduce a new funeral cover product, “Enda Nawa”’ which translates to “go well” in Oshiwambo, one of Namibia’s cherished languages.

In an address to announce the development, Pick n Pay Namibia’s managing director, Graeme Mouton, emphasised the importance of this collaboration, stating, “Through our metaphorical DNA of being a truly authentic, caring, and passionate company, we are committed to our country and its people as underpinned in our purpose: ‘Creating a future, enhancing life.’ This partnership with Bonlife Assurance is a testament to our commitment to the Namibian community”.

CEO of Bonlife Assurance, Johan Oosthuysen, confirmed: “This partnership is more than just a collaboration – it represents a shared commitment to providing essential and highly accessible products and services to all Namibians.” He further highlighted: “We at Bonlife understand the importance of financial security, and we are dedicated to ensuring it’s within reach for everyone and therefore, affordability has been a primary focus in the development of Enda Nawa. We have strived to create a product that is priced competitively with ‘first-of-its-kind’ benefits in Namibia, making funeral insurance accessible to a wide range of individuals and families.”

Enda Nawa has been described as much more than just a product as it is a tailored financial solution designed to meet the unique needs of clients when they need comfort.

“Through our partnership with Bonlife Assurance, a company that shares Pick n Pay Namibia’s commitment to excellence, diversity, and responsibility, we ensure cost-effective premiums and affordable pricing for our valued products,” Oosthuysen added.

As proud 100% Namibian-owned companies, both Pick n Pay Namibia and Bonlife Assurance stated they are contributing towards the alleviation of unemployment challenges in the nation. The companies also noted that this partnership signifies a significant step towards a more caring and compassionate future for Namibians.

Enda Nawa offers not only a financial safety net but also a helping hand during a time of grief. As such the companies stated they comprehend the importance of providing comprehensive support during difficult times, hence their tailored financial solution aims to ease the burden for clients.

The Enda Nawa Family Plan accommodates up to 12 individuals per policy, catering to families of all sizes. Eligibility for the main life and spouse spans from ages 18 to 65, with coverage also extending to children aged 0 to 21 and parents between the ages of 55 and 80. A six month waiting period ensures swift access to benefits.

For seniors, the Enda Nawa Senior Plan offers essential coverage without medical complexities. It is designed for parents aged 55 to 80 and shares the same six- month waiting period as the Family Plan.
