The king of Ma/gaisa genre has been diagnosed with the hard-hitting Covid-19 recently and is recovering in a Swakopmund hospital. The award-winning artist has been taken off the ventilating machine and is due to be discharged next week. Music fanatic Andre Gariseb says having spoken to Ou Stakes, he is recovering well and is in good spirits. Despite the singer not having visitors, he is grateful for the well wishes from his fans, as they are uplifting.

“He is reiterating the message that we should continue to care for each other. Take the pandemic seriously and abide by the safety advisories from doctors and the authorities. Let’s keep caring, keep praying and keep believing,” said Gariseb.
