Home National Zimny, De Kock come out unscathed in senior pairs

WINDHOEK – The highly popular “Glenbrynth Senior Pairs”, concluded at the TransNamib Bowling Club lawns in Windhoek, last weekend.

The 17th edition of the annual gathering was most generously sponsored by GLENBRYNTH for the first time.

Bowlers from near and far are always attracted to enter this particular tourney showing their mettle against some of the finest bowlers in the country.

This year’s winners are Horst Zimny and Renette de Kock, both from hosts Transnamib. Former Ramblers hockey player Monika Gibbons (Namib Park) claimed joint second spot.

The pair of Johan Jacobs (Omeya) Rudi Vaessler (Tsumeb) shared the runner up spot with Gibbons – leaving Bea Lamprecht (Transnamib) to pick up the pieces for 3rd spot. Event organizers have applauded Glenbrynth for making the annual tourney possible.
