Residents of Oshakati remain without electricity since yesterday morning, with Oshakati Premier Electric (OPM) spokesperson Rautia Mwaala saying technicians are still working and no exact restoration time can be given. NamPower earlier confirmed the outage was caused by a fault on an OPE feeder, which affected three 11kV circuit transformers and an auxiliary transformer at the Oshakati substation. Repair work is ongoing but expected to take time.
The public is urged to treat all electrical points as live, as power may be restored without notice.
