By Francis Tsawayo WINDHOEK The first of a total of three quad bikes to be raffled at this year’s Agra hunting competition was won by a Mr and Mrs Kaura of Otjiwarongo. According to Rikambura Kaura, they have been clients of Agra for the past 20 years, initially as communal farmers near Okamatopi, but for more than two years now, they are commercial farmers at farm Wagstaan in the Outjo district. ” We are thankful to Agra for all they are doing for farmers, the very informative newsletter we receive monthly, the great competition every week and the excellent service,” Mrs Kaura added. Other winners in the monthly draw are R.H.Friedrich who won a 54 cm colour television; Kombat Club and J. Nangori of Grootfontein both received portable generators; A.P.J. Louw of Keetmanshoop won a DVD home theatre system; and an electric oven went to M.Koen of Mariental. The skill grinder went to Van Der Heever+Seun of Karasburg and the travelling cooler went to Hamunyela of Grootfontein. The skill sander went to C. Uazikazi of Gobabis and the skill drill to Karois Boerdery of Karasburg. Bertie de Waal of Mariental won a sandwich maker and a toaster went to Jaco du Plessis of Tsumeb. Melony Farming of Grootfontein won an electric iron and an electric kettle went to Bremen Trist of Karasburg. The grand final draw will take place on the 18th of August 2006.
