Katima Mulilo – One of the oldest football teams in the Zambezi Football League, Red Warriors received A timely morale booster ahead of their new season campaign after the club became chief beneficiary of a brand new kit worth N$7000 from Kwala and Company Incorporated Law Firm.

In its efforts to plough back into the community, the Windhoek-based firm owned by a Zambezi native, handed over new uniforms to the club and promised continue with the gesture for the next three years.

According to the company’s representative, Munembo Munembo, the team’s enthusiasm in the game of football has prompted the support.

“We built a good built friendship with the club but we also knew they lacked the necessary support and thus, we are here to support the team. Kwala and company is encouraged by the team’s activism in football within the region”, stated Munembo.

On his part, Red Warriors team manager, Elliots Kakona was thankful for the donation and  appealed to other local companies to support local clubs. “We would like to thank Kwala and Company for the sponsorship. We will take good care of the kits and make sure we reach greater heights.” said Kakona.

Red Warriors was founded in 1971 at Musanga, a village on the eastern outskirts of Katima Mulilo. Some of the famous former veteran players that are still surviving today include Matengu Sakutiya, Nkwamba Museta and Barthromew Kambinda.
