The deceased was not yet identified and neither was it known who stabbed him.

Police in Swakopmund opened an inquest docket after a 58-year-old woman died at her house shortly after informing her neighbour early on Saturday morning that she was not feeling well. The deceased was identified as Constancia Tjongarero, a resident of Tulinawa location in Mondesa.

Matheus said the deceased was staying alone and called her neighbour to tell her that she was not feeling well. “When the neighbour returned her call later she was not picking up and the matter was reported to the police.”

The police broke the door to gain access to the house and the deceased was found dead in her bedroom.
Matheus further said that a preliminary investigation did not suggest any foul play. The police will conduct a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
