WINDHOEK– Not all roads seem to be leading to the Coast this weekend for the awards ceremony of the Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMAS).

Not with one of the all time South African live bands, The Rockets, in town and bidding like old time to woo Namibians.  The band feature at the Palm Tree Park in the city tomorrow. According to the Managing Director of Global Entertainment, Do-Do Jerome Snyders, the band promises the May-Day long weekend  explosion and excitement with a mixture of old schools and new schools songs. Snyders is inviting music lovers to go and experience one of the amusing moments from the band for the second time ever in Namibia these years after.  “They should bring along their camping chairs and enjoy the night,” he entices.
But the band is not only stopping in the City but hopes to elevate the hype at the Coast when it performs there on Sunday. The Rockets success story is one of determination, hard work and dedication. The Rockets have always had a definite and precise attitude to their career right from its inception, having survived both the feverishness and fluctuations of the music business.

They continue to set international stages alight with their colourful, uncompromising and energetic performances,” he says.
