Having been involved in the sponsorship of the Manica Swakop Golf Tournament, under the auspices of the Namibian Amateur Golf Union (NAGU) over the last eight years, Manica Group Namibia hosted a Corporate Golf Day last Friday, at the Rossmund Golf Club outside Swakopmund.

The event which was held in a three-ball alliance, scramble drive with 1 score to count format, attracted 19 teams consisting of three golfers each, mainly made up of the Group’s clients and suppliers.

The event’s green fees were fully paid for by Manica – however, the highlight of the day was the generous sponsorship that saw three institutions (School for the Visually Impaired Children, Children with Handicaps Action in Namibia [CHAIN] and Caring for Special People) benefiting in donations to the amount of N$6 500 each.

Manica Group Namibia through its Managing Director, Hans-Werner Timke, said: “It is honoured to be associated with this premium game and most of all that the Company, while promoting fun, was able to contribute towards the efforts of making a difference in the lives of our society’s less fortunate citizens.”
