WINDHOEK– Members of the Rotary Club of Klein Windhoek Valley had an early Christmas party for learners of the Môreson School in Khomasdal recently.
They spent some time with the children and hand out a few treats to them. “The children welcomed us with few songs and dances, they really put on a great show for us,” says Shawn Fredericks, President of the Rotary Club of the Klein Windhoek Valley. Fredericks adds that they chose Môreson because these children have special needs. “When the school approach us, we did not think twice as we know this children needs special treatment and need to be shown that people care and love them, and not only their teacher and parents.”
For the Valley Rotary Club this is just the beginning, “we are planning to be part of these children as they need more love,” says Fredericks.
The school’s Head of Department (HoD), Suzy Brown, says it was an honor for this club to visit their school as they do not receive this most of the time. “Sometime our learners do not get the opportunity to be visited. This really means a lot. All our children needs is love and the Rotary Club of Klein Windhoek Valley members gave it to them when they visited,” Brown concludes.
