Suzette Apollus, a final year student in media studies at the University of Namibia, last week left as an exchange student on a three-month study spell to Finland, courtesy the Finnish Embassy in Windhoek. She will be studying journalism at Tampere University in the city of the same name and also known for its annual Youth Theatre Festival in August around the world. Suzette hails from Mariental. Four selected students of the Engineering Department at the Polytechnic of Namibia last week left for the Czech Republic for further studies in Prague. They were seen off by the Rector of the institution, Dr Tjama Tjivikua and some faculty members. According to Sakkie Muller, a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and project coordinator, the trip to Prague replaces at least one year of the students’ engineering courses. This is the third group of Namibian students that was selected for further studies abroad.
