Seaflower maps out strategic plan

Home National Seaflower maps out strategic plan

Lüderitz

A five-day strategic workshop took place at Lüderitz last week, when Seaflower management mapped out its strategic operational set-up for the next five years, in line with Vision 2030.
The operational set-up is also in sync with the National Development Plan 4, known by its acronym (NDP4).
Fanuel Dangarembizi, a consultant contracted for six months to develop a strategic plan and other administrative frameworks to guide the operations of the Seaflower Group, conducted the workshop.
A draft strategic plan will be presented to the Board of Directors of Seaflower Group for their review and approval. The strategic plan will run for five years as from 2017.
Seaflower Acting Chief Executive Officer Mike Hipunya said the strategic plan and well-measured management control procedures are of critical importance to the efficiency and profitability of any organization, and the Fishcor Group will be able to monitor and evaluate its performance adequately once these frameworks are in place.
He further stated that the strategic plan would be done at Fishcor level for the operating companies, which are the Seaflower Group of Companies, Seaflower Whitefish Corporation and Seaflower Lobster Corporation.
